A very well presented, thought provoking video. This should motivate teachers and future teachers (like myself) to still encourage a love of learning, thinking, creating, and writing in the classroom.

I agree with kirsten on how thought provoking this video is. It makes me realize that I need to "shift" with the times and how important this technology could be in the classroom.

I guess being from a different generation I never thought of how technology was changing the world. I limit my children’s internet and computer use because I didn’t want them to become one of those teens that are constantly texting and addicted to the internet. I encourage my daughters to research things old school (using dictionaries and libraries) while their friends are looking it up on the web. I like the idea of them knowing how to find the information they need if there isn’t a computer available, but I think I should start teaching them about the web so they can compete with the rest of the world... As a teacher I think I would probably do the same, start with the basics and incorporate technology. Remember what happened to math when calculators came around? People forgot how to do simple math in their heads and relied on calculators to do the problems for them. Maybe I'm just too old school but occasionally I enjoy getting a letter in the mail and sending a respond back (on paper). Most children today don’t know they have that option, they just email or text. All I’m saying is, technology is great and should be taught, but the basics shouldn’t be forgotten!

wow!! all the numbers made me really think that's crazy. Technology is getting more advanced and we're still the same people doing the same old thing while we can take a part of the shift and think outside the box to " solve the problems that we don't know about yet".
