How, as much as people complain about the USA, we forget how lucky we are and we always forget how unfortunate some are - these are things that children growing up now need to be reminded of - just how lucky and fortunate they are. I will be showing my children this video tonight. Thanks

This video really touched my heart. I was impressed by how much this boy who couldnt go to school effected the American students. If all the children in America got involved like these children, we really could make a difference!

I agree, we often forget how lucky we are and we very seldom think about how people in other countries live. Also in South Africa, where I am from, there are so many children living in these same conditions and would love the opportunity to go to school but their families simply can't afford it, or they don't even have families! I think it is a great idea for young children here to be exposed to and become aware of what goes on around the world. I also think it is awesome that schools and students are working together to help these people in any way they can... every bit helps!
P.s did anyone see the movie Blood Diamond? It was about the Diamond Struggle in Sierra Leone... such an eye-opener

I saw Blood Diamond--you're right--powerful.

Not only do these "projects" help the recipients--they help the students, teachers & communities from the giving end as well.
