Friday's class - 10/24/08

Hi ladies, I hope that all of you who went to the city had a great time! We had a few presentations that were great regarding Wiki and bulletin boards. A thought about bulletin boards - when you are in different classrooms or schools, take notice of the bulletin boards. Create a folder for yourself with all of the creative boards that you have seen. When the time comes for you to have create bulletin boards, you will have some ideas ready.
Prof. Tomich wanted a few things posted about today's class and since I am not a huge blogger, I thought I would take a crack at it. I'm sure it won't be very fancy like everyone else's, but it will cover the information. Regarding Our Philosophy of Education paper, it should be no more than 1-1 1/2 pages, double spaced. We should use the spectrum model in our booklet and definitely include the values that we believe. We should also quote someone like Skinner, Vygotsky, or Piaget, or other psychologists, and why we believe in the theory they studied. Since you are the narrator, the paper should be written as "I". I'm not sure if I forgot anything. If I did, please add - thanks. Prof. Tomich also asked if we could post what presentations are being done and when they will be presented. A few of the girls this morning came up with a group project. Raquel and I are going to present on Inclusion Classrooms. Raquel will cover what inclusion is all about and I will interview two sets of inclusion classroom teachers. One of us will follow up with a date. Thanks - I hope I didn't forget anything.
