Well I had a talk w/ my sis (teaches in Harrison,NJ) and here is some of what she said...
tech. for motivation= encouragement, stickers, group rewards, words of praise ect. things that boost the childs confidence
Probing= how did the teacher get the child to answer the questions she was asking...how did she pose the question...
Discovery= I dont really remember what she said..sorry
inquiry= how did she get them to ask more ?? (i think..)
Reinforcement= how did the teacher reinforce either lessons or behavioral issues... for example.. on thursday they read a story and on friday they play a Q&A game about it or work in a center with the story.. I hope this helps and is clear... Its late and I am very sleepy! have a good night see you all on Friday...
Hi Erin--I think Raquel did a good job giving you some examples...from these can you think of some others you've observed?
